IU teamed up with Adobe and FOX Animation Domination High-Def to create a one of a kind opportunity for university students to share their creativity for amazing opportunities, exposure, trips and cash prizes through the Campus MovieFest brand.
In less than 2 months, Ideas United worked with Adobe and FOX Animation Domination High-Def to sculpt a global contest that allowed college students to submit portfolio pieces in four categories - Animation, Special Effects, Character Illustration, and Music Composition. Winners in each category earned a trip to LA for a weeklong shadow experience at the FOX Animation Domination High-Def studios, Adobe Creative Cloud, and exposure through CMF, Shorts HD cable channel, and in-flight on Virgin America. IU secured judges including David Silverman, director of The Simpsons Movie and Monsters Inc.
With the contest launching towards the end of the academic year, we smashed our goal with over 1,600 submissions! Campus MovieFest reached out to its network of filmmakers, promoted the contest at the Cannes Film Festival to bring awareness to the creative international market, and announced the winners at its annual CMF Hollywood event at the Universal Globe Theatre. CMF will help to promote the results of the contest this Fall during Back To School through its continued partnership with Adobe.
